Attention to Detail and Preserving Your Piece is Our Promise.
One of the most specialized of all jewelry store services is the fine art of jewelry repair. Most jewelry stores will do repairs, but doing it correctly takes tremendous skill, expertise and knowledge in the design and manufacture of fine jewelry. In other words, you have to know how jewelry is made in order to fix it properly.
New England Jewelry has been making jewelry for decades, so we know how fine jewelry is made and what it takes to fix it properly. All of our jewelry repairs are done on-premises. We care as much about your jewelry as you do.
Most jewelry pieces we repair are worn daily or at least a few times a week. With this heavy wear, all metals, even gold and platinum, are subject to bending, cracking and breakage. Many people don’t realize that even diamonds, the hardest substance know to man, can break. So when we are advising a customer who is in need of repair for a treasured item, we are very careful to assess what is necessary to do it right.
Many people want to reset diamonds or gemstones from pieces they no longer wear, or have inherited. We can reuse your metal or give you credit for it, and discuss the many options available to you. Custom designed jewelry is our specialty!

Mechanical and Electronic Watch Repair
- Tune Up – New gaskets and spring bars, case polished and cleaned
- Stem & Crown repaired or replaced
- Replace Crystal – Plastic or mineral glass, or scratch resistant sapphire crystal
- Polish – Watch case and bracelet

- Watch Overhaul/Restoration – Complete disassembly and cleaning, new mainspring, inspection of parts for wear, assembly, adjustment, regulation, case cleaning and polishing
All fine timepieces require periodic maintenance. The oil in the movement lasts about three years. Once the oil breaks down, moving parts will wear, affecting the accuracy of the watch or clock. Gaskets also break down over time, allowing moisture into your watch and ruining the movement. Routine servicing of your watch will extend its life. Have your watch tuned up periodically so you can always enjoy it!
If at anytime you are not satisfied with a product or service, please notify us immediately. Rest assured that we will take care of the situation promptly and cheerfully.
